- Can you tell us about the inspiration behind starting Teak Warehouse and your journey so far?
I met the old owner over 20 years ago when I started a teak maintenance company called Dr. Teak. He always referred me business and we had stayed in touch my entire career. I ended up selling that business in 2018 and in 2020, I approached him about buying his business. It was always my dream to own Teak Warehouse. - What makes Teak Warehouse's furniture unique compared to other outdoor furniture brands?
We sell very high-quality teak at wholesale prices to the public. This means, the consumer, designer or hotel is getting the best teak at the best price possible. We are no thrills and keep our cost structure low so we can pass on those savings to our customers. - What are the unique benefits of using teak wood for outdoor furniture, and why should customers choose teak over other materials?
Teak is timeless and very classy. It really makes your backyard look high end and its sustainable. All of the teak we sell is sourced from Indonesia which has a 40 year growth cycle. Other materials in my opinion just don’t look as nice. - How does Teak Warehouse contribute to the local community and support other local businesses?
We have been in the local South Bay economy for over 20 years and always stand behind our products. Our furniture is in many homes all throughout the neighborhood and we are proud of that. - What are some of the most popular products among your customers, and why do you think they love them?
Our Grade A teak collections are the most popular items we sell. We have over 500 items so its hard to say what is the most popular. Our Capri extension tables have always done well along with the Fiesta chairs and our Neil chairs.
